On 2 July 2019, the delegates issued a directions letter to the Department of Primary Industries Parks Water and Environment, Mineral Resources Tasmania and Sibelco Lime (Tasmania) Pty Ltd, requesting further information by 12 July 2019.

On 2 November 2017, the Tasmanian Planning Commission and Meander Valley Council held a non-statutory pre-lodgement compliance briefing. The briefing discussed the rationale and justification for the content of the draft LPS.

On 22 December 2017, Meander Valley Council submitted the draft LPS to the Commission. The Commission considered the draft LPS against the LPS criteria.

On 14 February 2018 and 15 March 2018, the Tasmanian Planning Commission and Meander Valley Council held a non-statutory post lodgement conference. The conference discussed the matters set out in the post lodgement conference agenda available below.

On 9 October 2018, the Tasmanian Planning Commission directed Meander Valley Council to exhibit the draft LPS. The direction was approved by the Minister for Planning and made under section 35B(4) of the Land Use Planning and Approvals Act 1993

The draft LPS was on public exhibition from Saturday 20 October until Friday 21 December 2018. 
41 representations were received. Meander Valley Council has provided its report on the representations received and its recommended modifications to the State Planning Provisions.
